Between two waters :
memory, resilience and the healing process through the experience of video installations, 2020
Abstract :
« Entre deux eaux » is a creation based research highlighting our memories, our resilience and the power of healing we hold. Through a creative process of video immersion, sound installations and participative experiences exploring in-between states, I question the transformation of our world through our senses and emotions. From individual to collective memory, it is important to emerge with resilience and enter into liberating healing processes. The creation of video-installations, echo stimulation and sensations aim to raise consciousness thought film documentation. The traces are classified, assembled, preserved and restored. The articulation of an ekairosophical mental, social and environmental vision demonstrates the urgency to act now by combining ecosophy and notion of care. Between balance and imbalance, a poetic invitation offers a meditative journey : passing from perception to action. An interdisciplinary approach of fine arts, human and social sciences, environmental and digital sciences allows us to accept our need for a holistic therapeutic development of art and care (art therapy). Art is the engine of change generating sharing and transmission to wake up humanity. Acting on the ground of an anthropocene world is to think, to heal our world by reconnecting with the environment and with life. Shouldn't we preserve ourselves and our earth with peace, love and respect as driving forces ? Shouldn't we aspire to become citizens of the world and design a common future together ?
